Hey there,

Emma here 👋🏻,

When we first started discussing AI in comms, fear seemed to be a central talking point. Then it turned to a mixture of skepticism, interest, and practicality. Will it replace our jobs? How can we integrate these tools into our roles? What should we do to adapt?

Now, I’m pleased to finally see excitement dominate the conversation. AI is no longer a question — it’s a trusted work companion, like good old Merriam-Webster or our favorite style guide. (I say AP, but my coworker says Chicago.)

Which brings us to a resounding truth: The future of AI is now. So let’s dig into what that means.

3 exciting ways AI is revolutionizing comms

You don’t create a time-traveling car without a few hiccups. The same goes for implementing AI. Internal comms leaders today face a familiar struggle: too many tools, too much noise, and employees who still can’t find what they need. AI promised answers — but without the right approach, rollouts have stalled, trust is low, and adoption is limited.

That’s about to change. The age of AI-native employee experience is here — and for communicators, it means less chasing attention and more delivering real impact. And here’s what that means for us as communicators as we embrace a new kind of workforce.

  1. From search to guidance: AI won’t just find information — it will guide employees through tasks, decisions, and workflows with context-rich answers and next steps. Imagine fewer “Where do I find…?” emails and more empowered employees who can get things done.
  2. Your always-on comms assistant: Chatbots, voice tools, and personalized podcasts will deliver updates directly to employees. Your messages won’t just compete for attention; they’ll be impossible to miss.
  3. Hyper-personalization at scale: No more one-size-fits-all updates. AI will deliver content at the right time, through the right channel, to the right person — turning your internal comms into a true conversation.

AI is rewriting the rulebook for internal communications. But not all AI is created equal. Generic tools leave employees guessing. With Employee AI, context, control, and reach are built in — ensuring every answer is accurate, every channel is connected, and every communicator finally has space to focus on strategy and storytelling.

So rather than use AI to take over the aspects of work we love (goodbye, copy/paste; hello, time for creativity), it’s now going to be our new secret weapon for connection. The future of comms is now. And it’s customized and AI-powered. 🚀🚘👨🏼‍🔬👦🏻
